ITP Presents the 2023 Sustainability Report
A year of innovation and commitment to the environment
Industria Termoplastica Pavese spa, a leader in the plastics sector, presented its third Sustainability Report, highlighting achievements and future goals in the areas of environmental, social and governance responsibility. 2023 was a year of significant milestones, with the celebration of the company’s 50th anniversary and the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art production plant.
Over the year, ITP increased its commitment to improving environmental and social sustainability, with initiatives that involved both internal employees and the local community. ITP supported the election of Pavia as Capital of Enterprise Culture by Confindustria, emphasising the importance of its link with the territory and its commitment to local economies.
ITP continued to invest in innovation, introducing the Triflex brand, which represents advanced and highly sustainable plastic materials. These films are produced at the new site, which not only expands production capacity, but also contributes to the reduction of environmental impacts thanks to advanced technologies that minimise the use of plastics in production processes. This development is part of the company’s commitment to make packaging increasingly recyclable, reducing the use of plastic and simplifying product structures to encourage ‘Design for Recycling’.
ITP’s commitment to inclusivity has resulted in the creation of an in-house Women’s Academy, aimed at promoting the entry of women into traditionally male production roles. This project is an integral part of ITP’s mission to create a more inspiring and inclusive work environment.
As a Benefit Company, ITP reaffirms its dedication to responsible growth, combining technological innovation with inclusiveness and environmental sustainability. CEO Massimo Centonze emphasised that ‘our commitment to innovation and practicality in implementing green projects not only strengthens our company, but also contributes to the wellbeing of the community and the planet.’
